Fast Check-in System

To avoid queuing at reception, we have a self-check-in screen for patients attending the surgery for booked appointments. It is easy to use; just follow the step-by-step guide on the screen or ask reception for help


We always aim to operate an efficient appointment system and try to see patients on time, however, if a Clinician is running more than 30 minutes late you will be informed


Unfortunately as a result of late attendances we have decided that if you are delayed for more than 15 minutes and you have not informed our receptionist prior to attending, we may request you to re-book another appointment. Please inform us if you are unable to keep an appointment as often it could be offered to somebody else

DNA POLICY - 'Did Not Attend' 

If you are unable to attend an appointment you must cancel this as soon as possible.

If you fail to cancel or do not attend the appointment this will be treated a DNA – ‘Did Not Attend’

Failing to attend two appointments will result in an initial warning being written to you. If you do not attend a third appointment we write to you again with another warning.

If after the two initial warnings you have not attended a fourth appointment we will write to you with a view of removal from the practice and you will have to register with another GP practice.

Failing to attend an appointment not only reduces the availability of appointments that could have been offered in an emergency, it is also as waste of NHS resources and is not taken lightly. If you cannot attend an appointment you must cancel, to ensure it can be offered to someone else.
